Mom's Day Out

I got some time to myself today to go shopping for me (ok and the Little Bit). I spent most of the time at TJ Max - I only really like to go to new stores. I know, that's weird. I would be in heaven on Randall Road - miles and miles of chain stores. That's why I can't go there. I really enjoyed shopping and chatting with other ladies in the stores. My loving hubby called after the 4 year old's birthday party that Little Bit and he attended and asked if I wanted to get lunch. I was thinking about BWW so we met there. It was very nice. I really like their food and the atmosphere. Even if it is a bit loud. I ran into a guy that I seriously dated for a few months back before I met The Senator (my hubby). It was kind of uncomfortable for me - but Senator thought I shouldn't talk to him. But he was with an interesting woman of color and a boy who was probably her son of about 7 or so. Senator was impressed that he knew a trivia question about Aristotle. No ring on his finger so maybe a date??? Just weird. I didn't speak to him.

Little Bit had a melt down because Senator couldn't win the prize in the crane game. We stopped by the store on the way home for fruit and pancakes and we ended up getting mums. My feet are killing me, but we planted them when we got home and sat in the back of the Escape to "watch the world go by".

My first blog

This is my first blog post! I don't know that I have a lot to say today, but I have a lot on my mind. My 80-year old dad is in the rehab wing in the hospital learning to walk with 2 full leg casts. My 75-year old mom ran into a parking lot post. I'm supposed to be working, but I can't help thinking I should be there for them and I'm 120 miles away. My sis is coming in from Charlotte tonight and we'll drive down there tomorrow. Which means I won't get to spend much time with my 3 year old this weekend. And she's the light of my life. Thinking I should start looking for a new job as the ship isn't sailing the way I would like. But good news - we are going for a long weekend in the Dells and that should make everyone good. If my husband and I don't fight constantly.
